Buchs — ce sont quatre villes du même nom situées dans les cantons suisses de Saint-Gall, Zurich, Argovie et Lucerne. Quatre lieux homonymes dans quatre régions différentes constituent le point de départ d'une réflexion sur l'omniprésence, qui brouille les frontières entre réalité et fiction. Dans leur publication Buchs, la scénographe Carolina E. Santo et la photographe Véronique Hoegger jouent avec les lieux, en commençant par un jeu de mots : « 4 Books for 4 Buchs ». S'inspirant de la conception de l'espace de Doreen Massey comme « simultaneity of stories so far », les quatre récits différents traitent du quotidien banal d'une jeune femme qui est à la fois une et plusieurs, et dont l'identité reste incertaine. Il ne se passe rien de particulier. Avec des textes similaires mais pas identiques, les quatre livres racontent une histoire similaire mais pas identique des « non-événements » d'une journée.
Buchs — these are four towns of the same name in the Swiss cantons of St. Gallen, Zurich, Aargau and Lucerne. Four places with the same name in four different regions form the starting point for a speculation about omnipresence that blurs the lines between reality and narrative. In their publication Buchs, scenographer Carolina E. Santo and photographer Véronique Hoegger play a game with place that begins with a play on words: ‘4 Books for 4 Buchs.’ Based on Doreen Massey's understanding of space as ‘simultaneity of stories so far,’ the four different narratives deal with the banal everyday life of a young woman who is simultaneously one and many, and whose identity remains unclear. Nothing special happens. With similar yet not identical texts, the four books tell a similar but not identical story of the ‘non-events’ of a day.
